Real time lighting study completed
On May 15th we published the annual update of our Digital Home project in the portfolio section.
Unlike a traditional infographic, where each image can take from several minutes to several hours to generate, real-time environments must be generated at 60 images per second. In the case of using virtual reality devices, having a 3D rendering and avoiding dizziness those images per second increase to 180.
The main factor when determining the processing time of an infographic is the calculations of the light in the scene, that is why throughout these months we have been developing an exhaustive study of lighting in real-time environments, to achieve design scenarios with great photorealism ready to use with virtual reality devices.
The result of these improvements allows the production team to have scenes with the same quality as traditional infographics, allowing an unprecedented feeling of immersion in virtual environments.
